Gallery – Reconstructing a Neolithic house.

As you may know, as part of the changes being made to visitor facilities at Stonehenge one of the new features will be a reconstruction of Neolithic houses. The first phase of the project is now underway at Old Sarum in Salisbury, where a group of volunteers are working with English Heritage and The Ancient Technology Centre to re-create a house based on the excavations at Durrington Walls. The images here show how work was progressing in the first week – all images courtesy of J Green.
